Time to Meet Your Maker...

Fear not, this is not a tale of death or existentialism.  My new Epic 686 rod will briefly return to the hands that crafted it this Saturday. Bill Hickey, proprietor of W. Jude Fly Rod Co., and I will be meeting up for a morning of fishing this weekend in central New York state.

New water, new friends, new things to learn.  All I have to do is make it through one more day at the office...  It's been warm here in CNY. I believe wet wading will be in order..

See you soon, Bill.

  1. Happy Hook Ups, Chris. May you have a story to tell us...

    1. The trick will be remembering enough of the story to share! It's amazing how much Parkinson's can mess with a "young" man's mind... :)

  2. I figured this post was about a rod manufacturer, but that's not a cool title, lol. Have fun!

    1. Sorry, Drew. I forgot that you recently had a close encounter. But I hadn't considered anything about my maker. As far as I know, the Manufacture shipped me out with an assortment of seconds, no warranty and NO REFUNDS.

    1. Thanks. I may bring the gear back for a weekend in September and/or October. Is there some part of the Delaware River we could meet on? Or someplace else in Northern PA toward Binghamton?

    2. Actually, I may be able to do that. I have a buddy that floats the upper Delaware. We may be able to arrange a trip.

  4. Not a good title when you have geezers reading. Have a great time.

  5. What, nobody enjoys a "verbal defibrillator" these days?
